PerDiem Dietitian / Independent Contractor for Private Practice Maya Feller Nutrition

Maya Feller Nutrition & Dietetic PLLC is a Brooklyn, NY based private practice delivering anti-bias inclusive patient centered nutrition care. We work from a lens of cultural humility and take social determinants of health into consideration when developing patient care plans. We offer virtual nutrition sessions as well as in person sessions on a case by case basis. 

Job Description 

• Providing medical nutrition therapy (virtually and in person) from a lens of cultural humility and nutrition care to meet patient goals

• Performing nutrition screening, evaluation, and assessment for patients

• Counseling and providing education to patients and families, as well as the behavioral goals to meet recommendations

• Developing educational materials and tools, which may at times include digital content or communications such as blogs or articles

• Developing nutrition programming for a variety of goals and needs

• Developing and managing group workshops and educational seminars

• Maintaining credentials and continuing education through the Academy

• Charting and keeping records to monitor patient progress

• Assist team at large with social media content development

• Stay up to date on latest nutrition research to ensure the highest level of care

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian (required) 

- Bachelors’ degree in food and nutrition, dietetics, nutritional sciences, or human nutrition

- Successful completion of a clinical internship approved the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics

• Masters not required, but preferred

Compensation

$40.00 - $50.00 Hourly.

Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and practice needs.

The hourly range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, or other forms of compensation.
