    Key Responsibilities

    Manage and oversee the administrative review process for the National School Lunch Program and Summer Food Service Program, including procurement, resource management and vendor facilities.

    Responsible for determining internal processes, policies and procedures by which staff perform compliance reviews. Develop and implement streamlined review processes and ensure processes, policies and procedures are executed according to program regulations.

    Ensures quality assurance for reviews and monitors the work flow of review processes. Assesses consistency of the compliance review work throughout the team and completeness and accuracy of compliance reviews.

    Communicates with and seeks guidance from USDA regarding compliance related issues. Attends regional and national conferences to obtain current federal guidance to inform review processes.

    Monitors trends in review findings and uses this data to recommend training and technical assistance focus areas to the training manager.

    Provides subject matter expertise for the technology system compliance module, including review forms and review management tools.

    In collaboration with unit teams, creates a professional development plan for staff members leading reviews. Mentors, coaches and guides staff on review processes and implementation. Provides feedback for continuous improvement.

    Assists with conducting administrative reviews, as needed.

    Manages the onboarding process for new sponsor organizations. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, developing and implementing a comprehensive onboarding process for new sponsor organizations in collaboration with the program manager, serve as the primary point of contact for new sponsors during the pre-approval and onboarding phase and implement and document pre-approval procedures.


    Travel is required approximately 25% and varies throughout the year. Most travel is within Colorado for site visits, reviews or training. Occasional travel out of state for conferences.
