Position Objective:
Healthcare is one of the most promising avenues for plant-based defaults, with the potential to impact millions of meals, thereby transforming patient health, institutional procurement and societal norms. As Healthcare Program Manager, you will work directly with healthcare organizations and foodservice management companies in order to implement programs.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
Implement programmatic strategy: Carry out organizational strategic plan for healthcare program in order to achieve objectives and key results.
Develop and oversee relationships with hospitals: Build a network of contacts, secure partnerships, actively establish and maintain positive ongoing relationships with allies and institutional partners.
Manage pilot projects: Utilize healthcare program strategies, tools, and templates to guide hospitals through the pilot process and ensure the successful implementation of plant-based default pilots from start to finish, including obtaining stakeholder buy-in, supporting the culinary team, gathering and analyzing data, assisting with publicizing the findings, and securing permanent implementation.
Build contacts: Represent the organization at networking events and conferences to expand our presence and build relationships
Help the program grow: Leverage successes to expand partnerships at other sites and implement programs permanently, while contributing your insights and lessons learned to strengthen our healthcare program.

Position Requirements
Degree or certification in public health, nutrition, and/or dietetics preferred
At least two years of relevant outreach experience preferred
Familiarity or experience with institutional foodservice is a plus
Strong people skills
Strong writing and public speaking skills
Attention to detail
Ability to work collaboratively with a team
Self-motivated, able to work independently and take initiative

Compensation:
This is a salaried employee position paying $60,000 - $67,000 per year, depending on experience and credentials.
